Where do you shoot?

I live in Seattle, but shoot all over the PNW! Seattle, Portland, Bellingham and in between! A travel fee outside of 15 miles from 98126 will be assessed to cover my costs. I am happy to discuss this fee so if you're out of the Seattle metro area, contact me for a quote.

Where can I see my photos?

Unless otherwise requested, I will post a sneak peak on my Facebook Page or website within a few days of your session. Once the entire session is finished, it will be available for download via a secure link, emailed to you.

Can I print my photos?

Of course you can! My clients receive the personal print copyright for all photos delivered which allows for printing and sharing online. However, you may not sell them or use them to market a product of your own. In turn you agree that your images may be used to market Ashley Vos Photography.

How long do sessions last?

A typical session will last 45 minutes to an hour and a half and produce at least 25 professionally retouched and color corrected photos. Additional time and photos are available ‘a la carte’, added to your session fee. Sessions with smaller kiddos will be on the shorter side, to keep them happier.

How do I secure a session?

A deposit of half your session cost will secure you a spot on my calendar. This is non-refundable but transferable in the event of bad weather or unforeseen cancellation by you, my client. All remaining balance is due on the day of the session.

How far in advance should I book my session?

I usually book 2-4 months in advance and weekends are very popular. Your best bet is if you know you want pictures in the future is to shoot me an email and discuss dates as soon as you know.

I don't want a full session. Can I book a mini?

I shoot mini sessions a few times a year and they're super fun! Minis are marathon sessions typically lasting 15 minutes per family, yielding about 8-10 images returned to you within 7 days. Mini sessions receive the same client copyright and the same digital download link as full session clients. These are a great option for Holiday cards or having family in town. Mini sessions are usually held in spring, summer and several fall sessions.

I'd love an extended family shoot. Do you offer those?

I can accommodate extended family in your photo shoot, but be advised due to the nature of post processing required for each session this is only available as a special session and is subject to a different pricing structure depending on how many people will be included. Contact me for a quote!

Where should I print my photos?

I recommend mpix.com for prints, canvas and other image products.

How can I prepare my child for our session?

First off, no pressure! Don't worry about kids looking or acting perfect, it's my job to capture your family as they are! I work hard to shoot the real moments and authentic love between everyone at your session and sometimes that means crying kiddos, scraped knees and impromptu kisses. Make sure your kids are well rested, and have snacks around. Even a favorite toy can help! As the mother of a 2 year old I know that kids can be difficult but don't worry about behavior during our session. I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

What should we wear?

First off, whatever is the most comfortable for you and your family. Nothing is worse than messing or stressing over clothes during a fun photoshoot. Look for coordinating and contrasting items, mix texture and color, and utilize Pinterest! For some outfit ideas, check out my What to Wear Page.
